A planet in despair. An army being overrun. When an invading clone army completely overwhelms and threatens total destruction on the planet Delpha, there’s only one group that can stop them. Task Force 88.
A highly skilled combat team of super soldiers, the Task Force Rangers are the planet’s only hope of survival. Outnumbered and facing near impossible odds against the clone army, the Rangers must protect three airfields until the United Planet Military Command can send in reinforcements. In addition, a rescue team must be dropped deep into the enemy’s lines to find and evacuate Dr. Laura Dunby, one of the UPMC’s top research scientists. Three small squads against thousands. Will the Task Force be able to hold off the invading army? Or will the squads be sacrificed for the greater good of the UPMC? |
After an attempt by the UPMC to rescue Dr. Dunby fails, there is little hope that she will ever be rescued. Feeling that they failed in their mission at the Battle of Delpha to protect Dr. Dunby, Thomas and Black Squad set out on their own mission. They’ll bring back Dunby or die trying.
Finding Dunby in a remote area of Krod, next to a military base, Black Squad’s odds of returning with the doctor diminish with every minute they’re on the enemy planet. Their ship to return home is destroyed, their communications are cut off, and they’re badly outnumbered, leaving them to battle an entire base in order to survive and get off the planet. |
After receiving information that a secret meeting was being held by top Krod officials in the city of Borneo, the UPMC organizes a joint raid to capture them using UPMC soldiers and Task Force Rangers. Though everything goes according to plan at first, the Krod army is waiting for them at every turn.
What starts out as a capture mission soon becomes a fight for survival, as Rangers are scattered all over the city, with dwindling ammunition, and defending themselves against overwhelming forces. They must protect their prisoners, who are crucial to ending the Krod war, and hope that a UPMC convoy will come along before it’s too late. |
